Rev. David Wynd
We are a place of worship and preaching and we offer a range of styles and forms to help us to focus on God. We offer what we call a blended form of services which mixes old with new. Leaning on our Methodist traditions but seeking to offer new ways of worshiping God along aside these.
Whilst Sunday morning is the most popular time for gathered worship, we have lots happening midweek too; including bible study and small groups.
Every Sunday we join together to share in gathered worship and preaching as a community. You are welcome if you have been to church 1000 times or never set foot in one before. We try to make our services welcome, open and relaxed and you will find a friendly face when you arrive if you have never been before.
A typical service will involve singing, prayer and preaching. The style and form of this will differ slightly each week but the core elements will be there. Our blended worship seeks to offer a diversity of music, prayer and preaching whilst still offering continuity each week.
You can also join us on Zoom from home if you prefer. The church office can provide you with details if you wish to join us this way to begin with.
Every week young church gathers alongside our main Sunday worship. The children and young people join in the begining of the service and then move to their own age related activities.
From craft to bible study and all things in between. Young Church offers something for all ages across our 3 groups.
Cell Groups meet midweek, complementing the Sunday morning congregational activities – and are often the most important part of their spiritual journey for their members. Each "Cell Group" is usually made up of about 6-12 people who meet weekly either in each others’ homes or on church premises for worship, fellowship and application of the Bible to their daily lives. This is known as the "Cell Meeting". Contact the Church Office for further details.
Our prayer ministry team is a small group of dedicated prayers who help develop and sustain our prayer life as a church. They provide a team of volunteers sporting yellow badges on a Sunday morning and during other services to pray with those who ask for it. They also create prayer tables in the church that can be used on Sundays and throughout the week. The team also develop prayer focussed services at different times during the year offering different forms of prayer and an opportunity for people to experience God through these.
If you would like to join in our worship via zoom please visit the contact page and email the office who will provide the required details to enable you to access the service.
7.00pm - 8.30pm
A friendly relaxing time of singing praise followed by refreshments and fellowship. All welcome.
This meets every Friday from 10.00 am – 12 noon for bible study, prayer, fellowship and laughter. Our aim is not just to ‘feed’ ourselves but to equip ourselves to show God’s love to others in today’s world.
